An integral part of our specialised property practice is conveyancing – a niche area. We offer expertise across offices, providing a full conveyancing service for all projects as well as project and contract management services to developers and their sales teams. This includes the management and reporting of execution and exchange of contracts, receipts and investment of deposits and regular sales and status summaries.
Our conveyancing team offer this expertise in specific offices.
In Melbourne we offer partner Michael Markowitz and special counsel John Wellington who each have over 30 years’ experience in all facets of property law including conveyancing. Members of our Melbourne Property & Development team are fluent in various Asian languages and also have expertise in conveyancing.
In Newcastle we offer partner Jim Griffiths and senior associate Kellie Ross who are both highly experienced in all aspects of property law. They are supported by Senior Certified Practising Conveyancer (NSW) Nigel Sellens. Nigel is highly skilled and widely-recognised for his considerable expertise in handling property matters with over 20 years’ experience in this area.
In Canberra partner Emma Reilly is supported by Matthew Jamieson, Licensed Conveyancer, who has over 20 years’ experience specialising in ACT and NSW rural and residential sale and purchase transactions and Rosemary Orr who has over 15 years’ experience in ACT Conveyancing, including work for lenders.
In Brisbane we offer associate Elisha Bale who has worked exclusively in property law since 2003, firstly as a senior paralegal and then as a lawyer from 2011. Elisha is highly capable and efficient, having gained a wealth of experience in Queensland conveyancing, project work and many other aspects of property and commercial law over many years. She works closely with Newcastle property partner Fiona Nelson, who has significant Queensland experience having worked in top-tier private practice and as General Counsel for a major Queensland property development corporation, along with Michael Markowitz, head of the property law practice in Melbourne, who has qualifications in both law and town planning and over 30 years’ property experience.
