Our client, a civil contractor, had engaged a specialist post‑tensioning subcontractor on a major civil project. That subcontractor had overtensioned the reinforcement and damaged the integrity of the structure. We advised on the upstream and downstream liability issues, on mitigation measures, and on the associated insurance issues.
